Welcome to the Grants Management System

The Hawaii Department of Education (HIDOE) is pleased to announce the rollout of its new Grants Management System (GMS). The GMS is a comprehensive and cohesive tool intended to streamline the grant search, application, implementation, and monitoring process, from beginning to end.

The Department encourages grant seekers to apply for funding to support additional learning opportunities for Hawaii’s students.  The Grants Management Team (GMT) of two grant writers and a grant resource developer provides technical assistance on using the GMS and all grant-related activities.

When you have gathered all of your resources and found a funding source that suits your needs, you are ready to begin developing your grant proposal. If you are a HIDOE employee, you have access to additional tools in the GMS by clicking on Apply for Grants.

Clicking on this link will take you to the Grant Origination Form. This form will collect pertinent information concerning your grant project including the name of the grant, amount being applied for, a summary of the project, technical assistance needs from HIDOE offices and an authorization from your immediate supervisor to proceed with the project. Once submitted, a tracking number will be assigned and a folder created through the GMS. The number will be used to track the project from beginning to end. Each grant applicant will be required to login to the GMS using their HIDOE username and password. This login will give them access to the system after an award is made, through implementation, monitoring and completion. The GMT is available to provide support and technical assistance to GMS users, each step of the way.
